How we make money

Sonoran Septic is free for homeowners. We are paid a referral fee by the septic contractor we match you with. That fee never increases the price you pay for your project.

The arrangement, in plain terms

• You use this site and submit the form at no cost.
• We pass your details to an independent licensed septic contractor covering your county.
• That contractor pays us a referral fee for the introduction.
• The fee is paid out of their business, not added to your quote.
• You are under no obligation to hire them, and we are not paid more if you do.

Why we tell you this

Because you should be able to see the incentive. A site that earns money on referrals has a reason to push you toward submitting a form, and knowing that is the right context for reading anything here. Our answer is to make the pages worth reading whether or not you ever contact us. Several of them, including the guide to who can inspect a septic system, exist mainly to correct things the rest of this market gets wrong.

What the fee does not buy

• It does not buy a recommendation. We do not rank contractors by quality and we make no claim about the work of any contractor you are matched with.
• It does not buy a review or a rating. There are none on this site, real or otherwise.
• It does not change what we publish about the rules. The regulatory pages cite ADEQ, the Arizona Administrative Code, the Registrar of Contractors and the two county programs, and they say what those sources say.

What you should still do yourself

Get more than one quote. Confirm the contractor's licence directly with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors at roc.az.gov rather than taking a number off a truck or a business card. Ask for the permit to be pulled with your county before work starts, and ask who files what. A match from us is an introduction, not a substitute for checking.
